Rabat, Feb. 28 - The Royal palace announced, here Wednesday evening, the birth of a Princess, second child of King Mohammed VI of Morocco.
A communiqué of the Royal Household, Protocol and Chancellery announced that Princess Lalla Salma, spouse of King Mohammed VI gave birth to the princess at 20.00 GMT. The monarch gave the name of Lalla Khadija to the newly-born Princess.
Both the mother and her baby are doing well, the communiqué added.
The first child of King Mohammed VI, 43, Crown prince Moulay el Hassan was born on May 8, 2003 in Rabat.
The birth of the princess was given a 21-gun salute.
The communiqué said that a Visitors' Book will be available at the Royal palace, the different Prefectures of the country and at Moroccan embassies abroad for those wishing to Congratulate the monarch and the royal family.
